Job Description
Account Development Manager
The Account Development Manager (ADM) is responsible for the execution of the account engagement strategy to increase the perception of the value the customers derives from their investment in Elsevier s solutions. Within this role you are driving usage and engagement in order to support the renewal of the institution s subscription (primary, but not sole, product focus will be ClinicalKey). You will be working closely with the account managers across the region to plan and execute the engagement. You will develop a territory strategy that is aligned with the region-wide sales strategy and manage account level efforts to the customer demonstrating the value for their specific strategic objectives. You will develop and deliver training programs (train-the-trainer) and customer value-improvement programs to increase the perceived value. You will be tracking, analyzing and reporting on usage and customer feedback.
KEY RESULT AREAS:
Customer engagement
• Increase awareness of the capabilities and value that ClinicalKey brings to the hospitals for healthcare professionals, medical information specialists and other stakeholders.
• Demonstrate the value of ClinicalKey within the context of the strategic quality objectives of the hospitals;
• Conduct customer training, including onsite training for large accounts and train-the-trainer sessions.
• Usage & product performance monitoring and establish and implement best practices for usage development.
• Develop mitigating action plan where usage is not meeting objectives.
• Provide qualitative usage reporting to customers (including trend analyses) for Large and medium Accounts and as requested by Account Managers and/or customers.
• Create and organize account / clinical events to enhance visibility of Elsevier s clinical solutions portfolio (ClinicalKey)
• Track, analyse and report on customer feedback to account and product development teams.
• Organize relevant communications to customers regarding (new) products and updates.
Sales coordination
• Work closely with Account Manager and account team to develop a plan
• Identify cross sell / upsell opportunities whilst on site for other solutions and feedback to the account manager.
• Interact with Product Development in support of providing market and product feedback.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years in a customer-facing role (preferably B2B)
• Experience in training and customer development, sales and/or marketing preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential
• University degree
• Affinity with healthcare, IT, information services preferred
• Multi-cultural awareness
• Ability to travel at least 70%
• Fluent in Dutch and English
