Job Description
The Architectural Engineering Program at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) is pleased to invite applications for Faculty Positions in the areas of Building Construction and Building Integrated Design. Candidates are expected to have a strong commitment to teaching excellence and student advising at the undergraduate and graduate levels, a demonstrable research capability that will enable the candidate to develop and sustain an internally and/or externally funded research program in his/her area of expertise, publish his/her research findings in refereed journals, and actively engage in promoting the growth of the UAE University. The application package should include a letter of interest, a detailed curriculum vitae listing qualifications and experience, including courses taught, a brief description of current/future research activities and teaching philosophy.
Minimum Qualification
• Candidates must have a professional undergraduate degree in architecture or architectural engineering; a PhD degree with a specialization in Building construction, integrated building design or a closely related area;
• Industrial / professional experience is required
Preferred Qualification
Teaching experience will be an advantage, as will an active research agenda and a record of publications Experience and skill with contemporary software tools appropriate to the specialization will be highly desirable. Excellent English communication skills
