InterContinental Dubai Marina is a Five Star luxury hotel in the heart of Dubai Marina with 328 rooms and residence suites, flexible event space and restaurants & bars. With over 30 languages and countries represented by the staff, the hotel weaves together an international five star presence.
Your day to day
Overall responsibility of overseeing Finance & Accounting operation of the hotel under the guidance of the Director of Finance
Prepare financial analysis of hotel operations including variance explanation and make recommendations to ensure the achievement of business goals & assist in the preparation of budgets & financial forecasts and reporting
Develops and implements financial control procedures and systems; maintains documents for audits of hotel accounts & ensures compliance with government regulations, federal, state and local laws to independently comply with record retention requirements
Assist with the distribution of forecast information as an up to date management tool for operating departments and assist with ensuring all accounts are reconciled on monthly basis & review and approve those reconciliations
Assist in the management of day-to-day operations & assignments of accounting staff, planning & organizing work & scheduling/assigning work managing revenues received & dispersed including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, audit general ledger reporting & cash handling functions for the hotel
What we need from you
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent and 4 years in hotel accounting or audit experience in a management role
Being a Certified Accountant is an advantage
Able to demonstrate competency and skills in analytics and financial analysis
