A) Job Mission:
The Assistant Warehouse Manager is responsible to assist the warehouse Manager in the execution of his tasks in running the warehouse operations to achieve department goals and KPI’s.
He should be aware of, and follow, warehouse safety procedures and to work as part of the warehouse team.
He has to ensure the warehouse staff are carrying out their duties as required and to assist the Warehouse Manager in coaching his subordinates and ensure that any work related knowledge gap is recognized and corrected so that they are best prepared to carry out the duties assigned to them.
B) Job Responsibilities:
Deputizes for the Warehouse Manager in his absence.
Ensures the operation plan is carried out in accordance with daily objectives.
To be responsible for completion and prompt submission of all related paperwork and the provision of other information as requested.
Ensures that all inventory transactions are properly documented in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Controls the complete inventories as well as scheduled cycle counts.
Delegates and prioritize duties to achieve objectives.
Ensures all “Goods In” products are received as per SOPs.
Ensures all “Orders” are picked accurately and on time.
Ensures all records electronic and paper are maintained and recorded correctly.
Performs other duties as requested by their Warehouse Manager.
Ensures standards of housekeeping and hygiene are maintained
Ensures standards of discipline are maintained
Utilises all resources to obtain maximum efficiency
Ensure the alignment of the company best practice and initiate the development plan based on the outcome of PDR and Career Development Plan.
Ensure performance review with line manager on quarterly bases and agree on action plan.
PDR for the Team: Team up with the HR partner to prepare and timely submit PDRs’ for all Team members, and ensure process completed on time as company communication and direction.
Organization & People Development:
Development (Coaching & Training): Identify Team training needs and work with his Team and HR to ensure skills gapes are covered through systematic coaching and training courses & on the job coaching
Building Team Talents: Build Area pool of talents to allow for promotions from within and to supply the organization with capable Sales Managers, Supervisors & front lines.
Team Building & Work Environment: Create/Maintain a vibrant, engaging and celebrative culture that deliver business excellence and promote personal learning & development and enhance company’s’ values within each individual.

Essential: Bachelor degree in MIS, Business Management or related field. Logistics qualification
Effective use of the English language. Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents, communicating effectively, in writing and verbally, as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
Effective use of the Arabic language
Essential: Requires 2 years in the warehousing field
Knowledge of principles and methods for moving goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits.
Preferred: Knowledge of business and management principles resource allocation, and coordination of people and resources.
Experience at presenting complex information to individuals and small groups and conveying information effectively.
Ability to instruct effectively, teaching others how to do something.
