Associate Construction - Dubai - Law Firm

This top international law firm whose construction team is an award winning regional construction team based in Dubai are looking for a new lawyer to join their expanding team. . The firm's renowned construction dispute resolution ability means that they are well-equipped to handle litigation and transactional work with ease. Most of the projects are on a large scale and have a high profile within the local and international construction market. You will manage a caseload of mainly contentious construction matters . You will assist partners with advisory work during project construction phase and will get involved with drafting and assisting with the negotiating on a wide variety of building/ engineering contracts. Providing advice on warranties, guarantees and appointment documentation You will also assist Partners in delegation of work to and supervision of juniors in the team.
You should have a strong academic background and training from a recognised international firm/practice. Three years of construction experience gained at a reputable law firm with a strong reputation in the field of construction litigation and a proven ability and willingness to work on both contentious and non-contentious matters is essential. Regional experience with a focus on UAE matters is necessary; however candidates based outside the region with previous Middle East experience should be able to demonstrate a good understanding of international arbitration.
