Responsible for delivering the brand profit through managing the buying planning process, driving brand sales strategy and achievement of retail standards agreed with the host partner. Accountable for ensuring the brand is appropriately represented and portrayed in all operating Markets and for championing the brand effectively.
The below Key Performance Areas include but are not limited to:
Build Annual Business Buy Plan to reflect brand positioning.
Responsible for analysing, re-forecasting, and reporting the Financial performance of the brand through the monthly presentation of P&L (KFR)
Lead and direct the business discussion processes at the appropriate level within general approval of senior management.
Responsible for creating/maintaining data and information to support the brand and for regular, generic IT maintenance.
Identify opportunities for IT enhancements and recommend for development.
Ensure price file changes are comprehensive and accurate
Ensure stock is continually reviewed and correctly identified as Seasonal, Continuity, Markdown, and Terminal.
Responsible for pricing for all stock within the brand and margin strategy where applicable.
Ensure pricing of new product reflects both local Market and host brand positioning to ensure maximum competitiveness.
Develop internal and external relationships where necessary to benefit the Business.
Act as a prime Alshaya interface with the host brand.
Provide a consistent message to brand team and stores with regard to brand values, priorities and requirements.
Participate in Business improvement projects to ensure brand requirements are represented in all major Business-wide initiatives and systems.
Co-ordinate host brand visits to ensure emphasis on key markets.
Regularly visit all Markets in person, and ensure team members subsequently visit for follow-up, monitoring and communication purposes.
Negotiate positioning of brand, including product ranges, development, pricing and competitiveness.
Ensure the brand delivers Business plan profit through delivery of both volume and cash margin, maintaining brand profitability by management of full price and mark down sales, intake margins, levels of mark down activity and terminal stock.
Influence product planning and selection with the Planning and Merchandising Manager, including the negotiations of volume lines and special buys for the Middle East.
Directly impact on product planning / selection and on trading through team direction, and Partner negotiation terms and conditions.
Decide financial sales plans and reforecast for new stores.
Through regular comparison shopping, ensure the brand retains a competitive pricing position.
Responsible for phasing, allocation, replenishment and promotional stock needs.
Responsible for buying plans if required.
Agree the planning (including Open To Buy), ordering, allocation and subsequent replenishment based on receipt and distribution of merchandise, building stock for peak trading periods, and mitigating terminal stock.
Manage inventory levels in stores for peak trading periods.
Develop initiatives for dealing with slower moving merchandise including offers and promotional activities.
Develop and agree strategic initiatives for, and have key responsibility for ensuring management of inventory control, improved competitive Market share and retailing initiatives.
Develop and Maintain relationship between Company and host brand.
Establish contact with key personnel in the host brand and communicate regularly.
Spend time with the host brand to influence merchandise selection for the Middle East.
Encourage and accompany the host brand on store visits to the Middle East to assist their understanding of local requirements
Responsible for the development of both the brand and one s own team.
Recruit, coach and mentor team as necessary
Coach, support and guide brand according to their relative experience on Employee matters, host brand relations and coordination with other functional areas of the Business.
Educated to degree level
