Reports to Executive Director - Infrastructure
The Business Development Executive (BDE) at Tamas Projects shall lead the process of developing, improving and maintaining the company’s prequalification and registration with various client entities especially those of targeted and strategic importance to the company. The BDE shall be required to develop and/or improve, in close coordination with the Executive Director, the company’s positioning and reputation in existing and new markets. The BDE shall support the Executive Director in developing and implementing a sales and revenue acquisition plan and shall participate in the tendering and proposal processes to ensure best in class submissions.
Major Duties & Responsibilities :
The following are the key duties and responsibilities of the BDE – Infrastructure at Tamas Projects. These should be performed within the context of the company values, systems, processes and procedures.
1.1 Core Responsibilities:
1.1.1 In charge of leading the prequalification and registration process with new client organizations from government entities to private and semi-private entities, main contractors, etc….This includes the preparation of required documentation, engaging with client personnel and following through all required actions to successfully conclude the process.
1.1.2 In charge of improving, updating and maintaining the company’s prequalification and registration status within the existing client portfolio. This includes the preparation of required documentation, engaging with client personnel and following through all required actions to successfully conclude the process.
1.1.3 Preparing and developing custom presentation and marketing material to improve the positing of the company with strategic and targeted clients.
1.1.4 Identifying, targeting and developing strong relationships with targeted clients and consultants to improve the positioning of the company and increase the win rate of targeted proposals. This includes the mapping of targeted client organizations, identifying the key decision makers and establishing and executing specific engagement plans pre and post award of projects.
1.1.5 Performing due diligence on market intelligence and specifically on targeted clients and projects to gather as much information as possible and position the company to develop winning proposals and excellent client relationships.
1.1.6 Develop, maintain and update an opportunity register through the identification of targeted projects that are in various stages of developed pre tender such as: study/master-planning stages, design stages, prequalification stages, etc…
1.1.7 Source and identify complementary / strategic partnerships with other parties that will add value to the company’s positing for particular projects and tenders and develop the relationships accordingly.
1.1.8 Monitor and manage all existing and new client portals for the purposes of: identifying and verifying new tender announcements, managing and maintaining the company’s registration and prequalification, etc…
1.1.9 Developing, improving and updating critical information libraries such as resumes, previous and current projects, client references, letters of commendation, etc…and creating the relevant databases accordingly.
1.1.10 In charge of leading the development of the technical aspects of tenders and proposals through the preparation, development and coordination of the same with the supports functions of the company and in close liaison with the tendering / estimation department.
1.1.11 Supporting the Executive Director when representing the company in client meetings related to the business development aspects of the division.
The BDE shall from time to time be tasked by the Executive Director on special assignments within the context of this job description and the intended role of a BDE. These may not have been specifically defined herein. The BDE shall be receptive to these assignments and shall consider them as an integral part of this role.
