BU Africa is seeking to develop ENGIE BtoB energy services in Africa through innovation in new business and external growth. Engie BU Africa is looking for a Senior Business Development Manager who will be responsible and accountable for origination and business development of our businesses in the Egyptian market. • Develop a portfolio of long term contracts within Engie financial criteria and risk framework
• Effective and clear documentation detailing the nature and key considerations of business opportunities and/or threats
• Compliance control and input into internal Business Development and corporate reporting
المهام الأساسية
The Business Development Manager will:
• Originate and develop new opportunities for Egypt.
• Successfully assess new opportunities based on his/her thorough understanding of the Egyptian energy services business, including markets, technology and competitors; be able to quickly identify attractive opportunities and decline unattractive opportunities.
• Generate new business opportunities via cold calling, responding to inbound leads, attending industry events and responding to RFPs.
• Responsible for driving Energy Services sales to a variety of different companies including commercial & industrial businesses, mobile network operators and other large energy users.
• Develop long term valued relationships with clients.
• دعم/or Execute attractive growth opportunities, including negotiating with commercial counterparties, الكيانات الحكومية, and other stakeholders on projects / المعاملات.
• Successfully advocate internally for growth opportunities, including completion of internal investment approval memos and presentations to the Investment Committee.
• Liaise with all internal stakeholders as required to gain sign off and approval at appropriate milestones.
• Liaise with exporting entities of Engie (Axima, INEO, Endel, Cofely, ENGIE Solar) and ENGIE Business line (Metiers) for specific deals or key skills to complement Africa BU offering.
• Ensure all active opportunities are entered and maintained in internal reporting system to facilitate the pipeline building and forecasting effort.

• In line with BU Strategy, define potential keys activities and identify players for M&A or partnerships.
• Identify key suppliers to develop partnerships or mutually beneficial relationships
• Prepare and keep up to date marketing material towards customers
• Represent Engie Southern Africa in regional market specific shows or meetings
• Support local BtoB bid managers for bid preparation and submission

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Degree
• Business degree
Experience
• 5 years' experience as Business Developer, commercial or sales manager for industry in the fields of Energy Services (Installation, Maintenance, Energy Sales).
• Has strong experience in and understanding of the Egyptian market, including legal / regulatory aspects, market environment, competition, stakeholders, counterparties, and other areas that impact growth initiatives
• Has a strong network of relationships among key stakeholders in the market / industry and the development process.
• Has a strong experience in developing and managing sales relations with industrial customers.
• Experience working in the areas of Energy Services, Energy Efficiency, and Renewables is a bonus.
• Understands the dynamics and value for customers behind technical choices such as Solar PV, Batteries, Diesel Gensets, hybrid or standalone solutions, cogeneration, multiple fuel solutions, steam and cold production
• Understands financial models, risks, rewards, and what drives value in long term commitments in BtoB projects /
