Category Merchandiser
We are looking for a self-motivated Category Merchandiser to manage our Colour Contact Lenses and Prescription Contact Lenses category.
Category Merchandiser Responsibilities:
Supplier Management
Manage supplier relations by forging solid relationships and maintaining existing channels
Ensure that the supplier contracts in place support the needs of the business
Margin management and ensuring commercial agreements are in place
Maintaining constant communication with all suppliers

Category Management
Liaise with Marketing Department to ensure we maximize on sales opportunities
Inventory Management to ensure all stock levels in warehouses
Ensure correct stock levels are maintained and reported by analysing stock data
Accurately report on brand, category and sales performance
Provide seasonal forecasts to optimize sales and profits
Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports, and interpreting and communicating this information to the team
Manage weekly stock and intake to category targets whilst still maximizing availability to agreed targets
Maintaining awareness of competitors' performance
Gathering information on customers' reactions to products
Identifying supply difficulties and dealing with any problems or delays as they arise
Forecast sales at SKU level, using sales history, lost sales calculations, and future business plans to prepare order quantities and ensure stock is ordered in timely fashion, and out of stocks are avoided
Reporting of previous season analysis at product level to best inform future buys
Report on Aged/slow moving lines to plan sales strategies on products which have not sold through
Collaborate on all product, collection, and lifestyle photography with creative and marketing teams.
Identify and implement process improvements and opportunities for innovation in merchandising and sales
Challenge the current ways of working where appropriate to drive change and increase commercial performance of digital retail channels.



Category Merchandiser Requirements:
3 – 4 years proven experience as a Merchandiser
Ability to negotiate at any business level
Have a strong sense of business
Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced quickly changing environment
A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills
Professional level verbal and written communications skills
Fluent in Arabic
