We are looking to hire a dedicated Communications Officer to join our team. The Communications Officer will support our internal and external communications strategy. S/he must demonstrate creative thinking and should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Collaborate with Solidarity s management to develop and implement an effective communications strategy.
Write, edit, and distribute content, including publications, press releases, website content, annual reports, speeches, and other marketing material that communicates Solidarity s activities, products and/or services.
Help design and coordinate web-based fundraising activities, such as online auctions or donation websites.
Write reports or prepare presentations to communicate fundraising program data.
Respond to media inquiries and arrange interviews for Solidarity spokespeople.
Maintain a media database, retain records of media coverage, and collate analytics and metrics.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with media outlets, journalists, reporters, social media influencers and other media personalities.
Seek opportunities to enhance the reputation of the Solidarity brand, and coordinate publicity events as required.
Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field.
Two to five years of relevant experience in a communications role.
Knowledge of desktop publishing software.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
Good time management and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, content management systems, and social media platforms.
