Job Description
The role of the Community Engagement and Publications Editor is responsible for creating content to position and promote the foundation strategic goals and strategy. The role is responsible to coordinate internally within the foundation and externally with PR agencies and media outlets and professionals to identify media opportunities that upscale the position of the foundation. The role will support in managing internal and external knowledge sharing and creation that is purposefully built to promote the organizations strategic goals.
The role will report to the Director of Knowledge and Strategic Operations.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
• Develop and create well-researched content that supports the foundation key messaging, positioning, and strategic goals
• Work with the leadership team to suggest topics, content and ideas to raise the foundation profile in public
• Create content that raise stakeholder awareness and knowledge of the foundation s value proposition, partnerships, engagements, and programs
• Author working and policy papers, internal and annual reports, blogs, and hosted podcasts interviewing visiting scholars and local and international education, cultural heritage, public health, community development, and philanthropy policy experts, and practitioners
• Be on top-of the PR calendar and liaise with the communications manager, PR agency and team members to ensure timely delivery of content
• Manage and lead on content that feeds towards the foundation publications including OP Eds, Articles, Press Releases, Q&A interviews, Blogs, Publications, Newsletters, Policy Briefs and speaking engagements (webinars, round tables, panels)
• Manage editing of bilingual publications and marketing materials tailored to diverse audiences, publishing numerous policy and working papers, conference proceedings, journal special issues, blogs, and podcasts
• Create and develop talking points for speaking engagements for the Chairman, CEO, and foundation spokesperson
• Support and mentor local and international officers in presenting their work to ensure stakeholder engagement and adoption of recommendations, distilling complex and technical information into compelling narratives targeting a variety of audiences
• Develop and implement a plan to coach and mentor the foundation s team to create content for their LinkedIn platform that ultimately raise their level of professionalism and increase their visibility (LinkedIn articles, blogs, and commentaries)
• Coordinate with the marketing unit to drive its messaging on Social Media
• Use SEO strategies in developing website content to maximize online presence and visibility in search results
• Proofread and edit all content created for the foundation
• Ensure all content is in alignment with the foundation corporate identity
• Carry out other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job

Qualifications & Experience
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, results-oriented team player with:
• Minimum of Bachelor s degree in social studies, education, business administration or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a relevant role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a passion for helping others
• Strong organizational skills, detail-orientation, and ability to analyze and present data
• Strong time management skills, with attention to deadlines and ability to effectively handle multiple priorities concurrently, within an extremely busy and fast-paced organization
• Proven record of impeccable excellent writing portfolio
• Previous experience in public policy (education, community development and/or philanthropy)
• Experience in publishing papers, policies, conference proceedings, talking points, blogs, reports, presentations, podcasts and others
• Previous engagement with local ministers and policy makers, foreign dignitaries, academics, and community members
• Passion for the Foundation s mission
• A positive attitude, model a mature and professional demeanor and have an excellent work ethic
• Fluency in English Language and Arabic Language is a preference
