COVID19 فني أبحاث

The project aims to develop a generic decision support system that helps decision makers trying different intervention scenarios to control the spread of COVID19 in an urban environment in the Sultanate of Oman.
Educational and Special Requirements:

At least a Master degree in computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
Strong programming skills in Java and .NET programming languages
Minimum knowledge of spatial statistical models and analysis
Strong mathematical background
Strong skills in individual agent-based models (BDI, IBM) and stochastic meta-population models
Strong ability to work independently and under time pressure are a must
Good experience in GIS modelling, analytics and data visualisation
Strong English writing and communication skills
Previous experience in urban simulations and / or epidemiological models is a plus
Previous experience in research projects is a plus

Description of Tasks :
The requirements, functional architecture and modular design of the system to be developed are prepared by the research team members. The candidate should implement the algorithms designed by the research team members according to an incremental development approach. Also, the candidate should help in writing technical reports.
The salary and duration will be negotiated with the selected candidate.
Although priority will be given to local-based candidates, candidates based outside Oman will be considered.
