Roles & Responsibilities

Data Engineer

· Supports integration, design and modeling, storage and organization of data as it’s transformed into information per business process and consumed through analytics and insight reporting

· Supports building and/or re-organizing optimal data assets and data pipeline for analytic solutions

· Identify, leverage and infuse available corporate data assets and analytics with regional data sources

· Identify, design and implement internal process improvements; automation of processes ad optimizing data delivery for scalability etc.

· Extracts, transforms and loads data from various source systems

· Supports proof of concept testing based on various advanced analytics models being used by business teams

· Articulates and adhere to data quality and cleansing standard and practices

· Creates highly consistent and accurate analytic datasets suitable for business intelligence and data science team

BI Developer

· Collaborates with business, IT and analytics community to capture, prioritize and document data analytics requirements and drive measurable results

· Designs and develops dashboards using BI platforms for various organizational metrics and indicators using best practices and industry standards

· Translates business requirements into high performance visualization that meets strategic and tactical business requirements

· Supports delivery of data visualization solutions to meet business requirements

· Develops reusable modular templates, connected dashboards and self-service reporting

· Recommends and implements best practices to ensure design uniformity and consistency across all dashboards

Trains and guides business partners on data analysis methodology, reporting and tools



Mandatory

Minimum 3 – 5 years in data engineering and BI development experience
Active participation in completion of at least 3 data science project implementations
Hands on knowledge of tools to perform data quality, data cleansing, data wrangling and data standards
Hands on experience with tools such as: R, Python, SQL, Alteryx, and/or other relevant tools
Demonstrated expertise with RDBMS and SQL programming; and other BI and analytic tools
Possesses hands on experience with tools such as: Tableau, PowerBI, Cognos
