The role
We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist, who is passionate about crunching numbers, developing algorithms and enjoys building systems that helps the user make critical decisions.
The Data Scientist will work on highly complicated challenges in the marketplace industry. As a Data Scientist, you will take a significant part in the growth process of our growing marketplace, working with dedicated business units on growth opportunities and new ideas. You'll work closely with our Engineering and Product departments, provide them with advanced data researches and insights, using state-of-the-art statistical and machine learning methods and algorithms. This is the perfect opportunity for the successful candidate to become a part of an innovative and energetic team that develops analysis tools which will influence both our products and clients.

Key Responsibilities
You will be working very closely with the products team and fellow engineers to collect data, architect, design and develop data-driven tools. Your output will ultimately help our customers connect with freelancers from all over the world and help our freelancers' community do a better job of leading a remote lifestyle.
• Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes
• Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data
• Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns
• Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms
• Combine models through ensemble modeling
• Present information using data visualization techniques
• Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges
• Work closely with the engineering, products, and growth departments to provide advanced Data Science solutions end to end.
• Use advanced NLP techniques to better understand user intent.
• Implement advanced machine learning techniques in an environment of high volume, velocity and variety of internet traffic.
• Be creative in identifying and suggesting further initiatives where data science may facilitate and improve existing processes.
