Under the Supervision of the EOC Supervisor, the EOC Technician will perform day to day operations and all assigned task in support of the Emergency Operations Center. The Emergency Operations Center is a 24 hour, 7 day a week facility with the responsibility to maintain situational awareness within the Kuwait area of operations.
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
Enforce and be familiar with all camp Policy Letters.
Review Emergency Notifications and Battle Drill Procedures.
Maintain a Duty log, DA form 1594, of all events during a 24 hours shift.
Provide instructions and guidance during emergencies.
Enforce off-post memos IAW ARCENT policy.
Monitor/maintain communication checks with all ASG-KU Camps every 2hrs via radio and/or landline.
Maintain communication checks every 2hrs with ARCENT “NCS” (Lucky Main).
Receive Red Cross messages and notify the appropriate Company’s 1SG or CO.
Disseminate severe weather notification from ARCENT SWO via SIPR/NIPR and WAVES, if necessary.
Monitor and generate appropriate report (Event, SIGACT, CCIR) for all MEDEVAC in ASG-Ku AOR.
Monitor the NIPR / SVoIP Telephones, NIPR / SIPR USG computer networks and the 24hr Events Tracker.
Provide assistance, information and notification to the appropriate personnel of reportable incidents in accordance with ASG-Ku and ARCENT Battle Drills, policies, and procedures.
Notify the ASG-Ku Force Protection Officer on all Force Protection related incidents and issues, and follow given guidance as it pertains Battle Drills and USG SOPs.
Collect, analyze and disseminate operation information from ASG-Ku subordinate camps and facilitate information flow between lower, higher and lateral commands.
Communicates directly with response management and unit operations officer.
Responds to incidents in accordance with policies based on ASG-Ku CCIR, SIR and USG SOP reporting requirements.
Comply with all instructions and directions provided by the ASG-Kuwait Defense Operations Center (KDOC) and BSTB Camp Defense Operations Center (CDOC).
Technicians must have knowledge in military operations and S3/S2 experience working in a Tactical Operations Center (TOC).
All technicians must be able to work as a team, perform multiple tasks and take guidance from EOC supervisor and BTL CPT/NCOIC
MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:
A working knowledge of MIRC (Microsoft Internet Relay Chat), missile alert systems, RAID cameras and FM secure radios is preferred.
Proficient in computer operations, specifically in the use of Microsoft Office, is required
Possess a comprehensive military background, with a focus in BN level operations and/or higher
Indoor and/or outdoor environment - must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
24 hrs/7 days a week, may work 12 hour shifts as required may be required to work an uncommon schedule including nights, weekends and holidays to cover down on EOC Tech position in times of manpower shortages
Must have professional appearance consistent with US military regulations and when off duty consistent with local customs.
Must be physically able to pass and meet all Annual Physical Requirements based on contract MOD.
Required to observe all safety, security and health requirements for office, warehouse and desert environment.
Must be physically fit and capable of lifting 75 pounds a vertical distance of four feet and carrying this weight a horizontal distance of 25 feet.
May be required to work an uncommon schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
Must be able to work extended hours and evenings, as mission requires.
Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
