Finance Manager oversees all accounting tasks of our company and ensures optimal internal controls and efficient processes to facilitate reporting and financial decision making. It includes the move to new ERP and automation of accounting transactions. FM is responsible for Closing books, managing accounting teams, ensuring the books comply with relevant tax laws and providing shared services of accounting to all group entities. He will work to an established SLA with both internal and external stakeholders


Accounting :

  • Ensure timely and accurate financial closing in compliance with IFRS standards on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, maintaining high levels of financial reporting integrity.

  • Lead the audit process by liaising with both external and internal auditors, ensuring that all financial records and practices are in full compliance with regulatory requirements and audit standards.

  • Ensure the accurate and timely recording and reconciliation of General Ledgers and other key financial transactions to maintain the integrity of the general ledger.

  • Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow, including the preparation of regular forecasts to ensure adequate liquidity and financial planning.

  • Oversee project cost accounting activities to ensure that costs are accurately tracked, reported, and analyzed in line with project budgets and financial controls.

  • Ensure the accurate recognition and reporting of revenue, adhering to applicable accounting standards and principles.

  • Address and resolve any financial discrepancies or accounting issues promptly, adhering to agreed-upon service level agreements (SLAs) to maintain smooth financial operations.

  • Produce monthly FS along with key insights and submit them to FD for review and onward transmission to HOD’s


Budget Controls:

  • Ensure that all transactions are following approved budgets. Provide early warning on budget overspend and produce information to allow for decision making. This will be in the form of monthly financial reports.


Risk Management:

  • Conduct risk management to identify and mitigate risks including local regulatory framework.

  • Develop and implement secure procedures to maintain confidential information

Tax Compliance:

  • Ensure the group is following all tax laws. Responsible for accuracy and completeness of information

Financial Reporting & General Ledger functions

·        Lead each month’s FSCP and ensure course correction where necessary. Implement automation and setup Financial Statements framework on the ERP.

·        Present key financial KPIs and ratios to Finance Director on a monthly basis.

 

Team Supervision:

  • Supervise a team of accountants, providing guidance and leadership

Resource Allocation:

  • Allocate resources efficiently and manage cash flows to ensure financial stability.  This will include vendor management and internal stakeholder management such as procurement and Operations

Automation and ERP implementation:

  • Ensure all accounting activities are automated.

  • Responsible for adopting modern processes including, for example, going paperless/digital and bring in dashboards,/Bots and AI technologies into accounting

Cost Management:

  • Recommend and implement cost-reducing solutions to enhance profitability by working closely with SFM, finance Director and HOD’s

  • Prepare and present contract costs incurred vs Budget for Contracts for the month and contracts to date on a monthly basis

Responsible for preparing Project Cost Accounting and reporting on Cost incurred VS budgets, Cost to complete arriving at Cost at completion of Projects. Present the same on monthly basis to Project Design &Development

(Certifications & Accreditations) • Chartered Accountant/CPA

Competencies

(Knowledge, Skills & Abilities) • In-depth understanding of cash flow management, Vendor and customer management liaison with banks, and bookkeeping

  • Hands-on experience with budgeting and risk management

  • Proficiency in accounting software ERP

  • Solid analytical and decision-making skills

Strong leadership abilities with experience managing accounting teams


Experience • 10+ years of Proven work experience as a Finance Manager, or similar role in the field of Real estate development or construction.
