Front Office Operations:
Ensure timely response to all the telephone calls received at the front desk and respond or transfer them appropriately ensuring highest levels of customer care
Ensure front office reception area is ambiance is appropriately maintained to comfort patients
Welcoming the patient to the facility and ensuring all of the patients questions are responded with accuracy.
Carrying out the registration process to assist the patients for doctor appointments, laboratory tests, radiology tests and any other services as desired / required.
Ensuring registration documentation are complete to adhere to the department policies and procedures
Patient / Patient Family Education:
Clearly communicate with the patient and family about the pre-procedure requirements and steps involved
Educate the Patient / Patient Family on doctor’s consultation / follow up therapy or laboratory test procedures in line with the requirement of the patients visit.
Health Insurance Procedures:
Ensure to follow the documentation process including the patient consent form sign-off required for process healthcare insurance claims
Adhere to the protocol for acquiring approvals for certain – procedures / tests or medication. Advice the patient about turnaround the usually required by the insurance policy
Contact the patient to update when the approvals are received from the Insurance, to enable the patients to visit for the required procedures or tests.
Advice the concerned department – i.e. laboratory or pharmacy with the updated details of the patients’ insurance approvals.
Ensure that only approved insurance claims for testing or therapy are being invoiced to enable generate barcodes for report documentation.
Coordinating with office assistants to ensure the request form for diagnostic services / branch are being appropriately addressed.
