DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible to lead and champion all elements of QHSSE for operation support functions.
Responsible to demonstrate effective Leadership to enhance the organization’s commitment and ensure that all location operation support employees are responsible for QHSSE performance.
Responsible for ensuring that all operation support employees understand and comply with all location facility as well as Global PL standards and procedures.
Responsible to ensure that OEPS, GPL and location QHSSE requirements are fully implemented and utilized at the base location for operation support functions.
Actively involved in Root Cause Analysis for all incidents affecting safety and service quality for the location operation support functions.
Human Resources Management
Work with Human Resources staff to recruit, interview, select, hire, and employ an appropriate number of employees.
Provide oversight and direction to the employees in the BU in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
Ensure all BU staff have objectives set and performance reviews completed in accordance with HR directions and timelines.
Coach, mentor, and develop staff, including providing career development planning and opportunities.
Empower employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals. Delegate responsibility and expect accountability and regular feedback.
Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity throughout the BU that allows for disagreement over ideas, conflict and expeditious conflict resolution, as well as cohesiveness, supportiveness, and working effectively together enabling each employee and the department to succeed.
Lead employees to meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment.
Manage the overall operational, budgetary, and financial responsibilities and activities of the Business Unit
Make business decisions that are financially responsible, accountable, justifiable, and defensible in accordance with organization policies, procedures and goals
Liaise with Country and Regional Management to assure financial metrics are met
Minimise DSI - establish and deliver inventory reduction planning balanced by meeting the needed level necessary to meet the customer needs
Minimise DSO - establish and deliver BU processes to reduce time to invoice, ensure invoice accuracy and actively engage in invoice dispute resolution
Ensure AFE’s are approved prior to making a purchase commitment, CAPEX forecasts are kept accurate and that CAPEX spend is balanced with acceptable revenue and profit targets
Provide monthly and quarterly assessments and forecasts of operational financial performance against budget, financial and operational goals
Ensure “Profitable Growth” through cost/value improvements, market penetration, differentiation, market development, introduction of new products and services and value proposition positioning.
Identify opportunities to introduce goods or services to new clients and opportunities for growth within existing clients and develop and implement clear and coherent strategies for realizing revenue generating opportunities.
Contribute in the development of tenders submissions or proposals including opportunity assessment, development of bidding strategies and tactics and assisting with the formulation of tender submissions.
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of WFT products and services
Keep abreast of competition, competitive issues, and products related to WFT services
Monitor industry developments relating to potential business opportunities
Identify and develop relationships with key customer influencers and stakeholders
