Specify maintenance plan and strategy for each equipment system. Elements of the plan should include predictive tasks, preventive maintenance tasks, inspection and monitoring activities, spare parts requirements and organizational requirements;
Develops the most appropriate maintenance method and sequence for TTEOM plant maintenance projects, in conjunction with the Maintenance Manager;
Implement and improve maintenance systems such as work orders, equipment histories and maintenance software in Maximo and Sharepoint;
Plans and oversees the entire program of work and anticipates a contract's demands in terms of labor, materials, equipment and technical challenges;
Ensures that progress is completed safely to a high technical standard, specifying the timing of the contract. Safety at Work
Ensures a safe working environment for himself, his colleagues while working on any equipment by briefing everyone during the daily Safety toolbox briefings;
Raises Work Permit (taken by the Maintenance department and/or section management team) for each job as necessitated by the TTEOM Power and Desalination Plant HSE Procedures put in place;
Ensures all necessary precautions are taken by himself and Contractors while undertaking any jobs in plant;
Points out any unsafe conditions to the Maintenance department and/or section management team.
Maintenance Tasks Planning and Execution
Analyses construction sites and local environments to determine appropriate logistics solutions and resources;
Draws up plans and presents schedules of work, often with visual aids such as bar charts and procedures diagrams;
Uses specialist planning computer software;
Prepares logistics plans and pricing schedules for individual projects;
Monitors progress throughout the maintenance process and compares with the projected schedule of work;
Liaises with the Maintenance Manager and Head of sections from the department throughout the process, making adjustments to projects as necessary;
Provides advice and support on the development of specific systems;
Prepares the integration & follow up of periodic overall schedules (4weeks, 3months & 18months);
Prepares of a weekly and monthly Maintenance Department planning and preventive maintenance reports;
Preparation of a periodic Budget & Cost forecast;
Planning coordination & conflict identification with other departments;
Preparation of EPC schedules & contractor planning monitoring;
Involved in negotiations with contractors;
Plays a coordination role between different disciplines (Maintenance, Operations, Supply Chain, Human Resources);
Prepares the risk register;
Interfaces with cost controller: Preparation of monthly cost, invoicing, cost at completion
Prepares monthly coordination meeting with Contractors;
Preparation of schedules (Engineering, procurement, commissioning, Milestone, critical path, Resources, Training, etc );
Management of Planning / Preventive & Predictive Maintenance and Site Access team;
Preparation of work progress (Daily, weekly & monthly), different curves (using EVM Methods);
Propose different recovery plan.
Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
Issues a monthly action plan for corrective maintenance, and liaises with Operation to obtain PTW
Supervises and controls all preventive and predictive maintenance work (electrical, mechanical, I&C and Civil) while approved by Engineer Planning / Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
Follows up maintenance jobs in accordance with targets and plans, ensuring that jobs are carried out efficiently timely and cost effectively to meet the target /plans.
Prepares outages in coordination with the whole Maintenance Management team
Supervises systematic inspections, detections, and corrections of incipient failures either before they occur or before they develop into major defects.
Supervises tests, measurements, adjustments, and parts replacement, performed by Maintenance Department s sections, specifically to prevent faults from occurring.
Determines what Preventive (or other) failure management policies should be applied through OEM recommendations, requirements of codes and legislation
Avoids or mitigates the consequences of failure of equipment, aiming to prevent the failure before it actually occur which Planned Maintenance and Condition Based Maintenance help to achieve.
Monitors partial or complete overhauls at specified periods, oil changes, lubrication, vibration maintenance ...
Records equipment deterioration so to replace or repair worn parts before they cause system failure.
Equipment Failure Troubleshooting and Repair
Supports reliable and accessible 24-hour call-out functionality;
Attempts all possible means of reducing equipment downtime and ensuring high plant availability;
Plans troubleshooting activities as necessary along with the Maintenance department and/or section management team and colleagues to determine failure conditions and rectifies defects found;
Records and reports to the Maintenance department and/or section management team all rectification jobs undertaken;
Works with Plant Operations Personnel for resolving problems encountered with mechanical equipment under the guidance of the Maintenance department and/or section management team.
Reporting and Planning
Delivers monthly report (Work orders status) to Head of Planning & Preventive Maintenance
Discusses planned and unplanned jobs undertaken with the Maintenance department and/or section management team;
Assists the Maintenance department and/or section management team in planning daily jobs.
Assists the Maintenance department and/or section management team in doing the budget together with Senior Engineer
Ensures necessary tooling is available at work sites during performance on any job;
Informs the Maintenance department and/or section management team of any tools requirement;
Site Access management
Manages the whole document application process for the Site Access passes with all TTEOM departments and local security authorities (CNIA)
Approves documentation/applications coming from Site Access officer, to be submitted to CNIA
Supervises the dispatch of Site access passes issued by CNIA, as requested by departments
Provides the Continuous improvement Program for CNIA Relations & Site Access team through improvement and updating of the procedure and team s continuous development
Maintains gate passes applications files, CNIA documentation and all related records
Generates reports (monthly/annual, including Action plans) as necessary for the applications done;
