• Strategic and tactical responsibility for implementing engineering strategy and strategic operational goals to meet the expectations on the quality, cost, and delivery, maximizing efficiency, optimizing, and driving engineering excellence.
• Provide clear leadership and vision, inspire and motivate staff to achieve excellence, and mentor them as they develop new skills.
• Ensure Health, Safety, and Environmental issues are prioritized drive continuous improvement across all engineering related areas.
As a Head of Engineering Department your key Responsibilities will include:
• Managing engineering projects end-to-end
• Coordinating internal teams, including security, IT and developers
• Strategy and Development : Be Responsible for Engineering activities across the business including Implementation of Best Practice, to meet the set objectives on time, develop and undergo continuous Quality check and ensure the project to be within the set Financial Budget.
• General Task : Providing technical support to the business development, estimating and Onsite engineering teams, oversee all the design aspects, Provide with necessary Multi-disciplinary measures & resources is well aligned to optimize the resources and on time delivery of the project, Operate a process for safe selection of external contractors after consulting with Head of Purchasing ensure all external contracts are regularly reviewed to ensure best value, Ensure that Environmental, Health and Safety, engineering and quality standards and procedures are adhered to.
• People Management: Provide leadership to departments under control and coach, mentor and develop direct reports and manage a high performing team that delivers continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions. Work with the Engineering team to translate site strategy into specific annual performance goals and departmental.
• Financial Budget & Control: Hold the Responsibility and prepare the annual Engineering budget and forecasts and all Capital Expenditure proposals as well as ensuring compliance with legal requirements. Manage the budget from identification to completion of projects
• Be Responsible for the whole Department: the projects completed, ongoing and prospective ones, the whole team at various work sites, contractors assigned, cost compliance, Legal compliance, on-time Delivery.
• Problem-solving skills, especially the ability to identify the source of the problem and create and test solutions
