The successful candidate will lead and teach across both ART and Design Technology at all Key Stages and have a proven track record of academic success. The department offers students the opportunity to follow qualifications in Art and Design Technology at both iGCSE and IB. The Visual Arts department has a high profile at Deira and enjoys excellent facilities for teaching and learning. It is also a very popular department with our students as many will opt to take the subject at Keys 4 and 5 and who consistently perform well above international standards.
Successful applicants will have:
A certified teaching qualification with exceptional subject knowledge
Experience of working within a high performing teaching team
Experience teaching GCSE and IB or A Level or equivalent across Art or Design Technology
or both.
A proven track record of providing outstanding teaching and learning
At least 2 years experience of the National Curriculum for England
