Performs administrative, managerial and professional work providing leadership, directing, planning, and organizing activities for Speech Therapy.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
-Arranges and assigns schedules for the in-patient & out-patient clinic, as well as, other scheduling matters, such as personal leave, training.
-Responsible for annual performance evaluations for all Speech-Language Pathologists at the clinic.
-Promotes speech-language pathology (SLP) as a part of a multi-disciplinary service for patients in the hospital.
-Develops and supervises academic training programs in the clinic, as well as Participates in education, training and development activities as applicable.
-Evaluates the clinic technological needs, and provides the latest recommendations for improvement.
-Assists in the preparation of the annual budget monitors expenditures of assigned sections during fiscal year.
-Develops and implements databases as needed for SLP and Swallowing.
-Performs other administrative duties in the clinic as needed & any other related duty as assigned.
-Performs national & international outreach designed to open doors for KFSH&RC SLP/ORL Team and Services
-Determines need for referral to specialists and other related multidisciplinary services
PhD or Master s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology and a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or equivalent as determined by the appropriate certifying authorities, includes the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA), Canadian (CASALPA), and British (BSA) certificates is required.
Five (5) years of Clinical experience including three (3) years in a supervisory capacity with PhD or eight (8) years with Master s Degree required.
*Professionally Credentialed Training Certification(s) from International Sectors, i.e. USA, Canadian, British, Scandinavian countries preferred, or other. ASHA-CCC-SLP or Equivalent; JCIA-ASHA-AMA.
*Certified by Saudi Council for Health Specialties. Sub-Specialty Certification as warranted.
