Hydraulic Technician

The position is responsible to carry out hydraulic and any other related works on company vehicles and equipment

1. Troubleshoot, disassemble, inspect, rebuild and test hydraulic pumps, motors and components.

2. Perform diagnostic testing; Remove, replace and repair hydraulic parts on vehicles and equipment

3. Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems on various trucks and equipment.

4. Perform planned and unplanned maintenance on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

5. Fabricate hose assemblies; Assemble Hydraulic components by hand tools and bench mounted equipment.

6. To estimate and record the estimated time and the cost required to resolve a problem.

7. To make improvements and enhancements wherever possible, after discussing with the line manager

8. Strive to ensure efficiency optimization and report deviations to the line manager

9. To maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuous learning, by attending educational workshop, training and by benchmarking best practices

10. Responsible to comply with the applicable HSE and company policies and procedures, UAE laws and applicable regulation

11. To work ethically and to report any violations and acts that may affect the health, safety, environment, ethics and company reputation

12. To Perform any other task, as assigned from time to time by the company, based on business requirement.

Requirements:

1. Education: Diploma or any other relevant technical course is preferred

2. Professional Certification: Hydraulic or HSE related certification preferred.

3. Specialized Knowledge: n/a

4. Skills: Strong manual skills and precision when carrying out repair and testing; Problem-solving, Organizational skills; Knowledge of Hindi or Urdu will be advantageous

5. Computer Skills: Computer knowledge will be advantageous

6. Other characteristics such as personal characteristics: Should be a team player, able to prioritize task, dependable and flexible.

7. Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience

Working conditions

1. Needs to work mostly from the workshop; At times, need to visit and work from remote site as well

2. Required to work in any assigned duty timing, in the day or night shift, 6 days a week, with one day off in a week; Also, need to work in any assigned branch or location

3. May be exposed to unpleasant sights and smells and may at times be exposed to dangerous and/or toxic substances and must take necessary precautions to protect eyes, nose and skin from irritation and infection.

4. May be exposed to direct sunlight and extreme weather during work

5. May be exposed to workshop related risks

Physical requirements

1. This job requires standing, continuously bending, kneeling, turning, climbing and lifting items.

2. Expected to wear uniform, safety shoes and all other required personal protective equipment (PPE’s)

3. Must be in good health, physically fit and with good vision.
