Responsibilities:
• Work with our customers to develop requirements and specifications for sophisticated lights and control systems.
• Evaluate and select LEDs from various suppliers and integrate them into printed circuit board designs to reach spectrum, efficiency, cost, and lifetime requirements.
• Work cross-functionally to select and develop circuitry and systems from concept through deployment in production spaces and document designs.
• Validate designs meet requirements through a combination of calculation, simulation, and testing and document results.
• Perform diagnosis and repair of issues with existing and new lighting equipment and control systems in production and research environments.
• Perform failure analysis with mentorship from senior engineers and help recommend improvements for future development.
• Frequently moves test equipment, prototype assemblies, and other equipment.
Qualifications
• 3 + years of proven experience crafting power, analog, or mixed-signal circuitry.
• Experience working with high voltage, automated testing, Altium Schematic and PCB design, Spice simulation, and Python programming or similar systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills backed by strong analytical skills
• The ability to lift equipment and assemblies weighing up to 25 pounds to a height of 3-4 feet and move them to different areas of the workspace.
• Embedded systems experience a plus.

Requirements:
• 4 Years Electrical Engineering degree with knowledge of engineering techniques, processes, and tools, including document management software
• Proven working experience in lighting engineering
• Excellent client-facing and internal interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven interpersonal skills, including attention to detail and multitasking skills
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Gantt Chart Developer
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus and can read/understand technical construction drawings in detail
• Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering appropriate field of study or equivalent work
• Experience 3 + years' professional experience desired and technical experience with energy upgrade projects
• Preferred experience in sophisticated communication protocols and RF devices
• Preferred experience in big data mining and analysis
• Knowledge of semiconductor device and solid-state lighting
• Knowledge of UL, CSA, EC, and ETL certification processes
• Ability to get along with and contribute to cross-functional teams
• Ability to balance multiple projects or tasks simultaneously
• Drive to deliver products on time with attention to quality
