Job Synopsis:
The Long Term Operations Manager is responsible for the success of the Long Term , ensuring guest satisfaction and product quality standards are met. To manage all areas of the Long Term Area according to laid down procedures there by achieving a friendly atmosphere of superior guest services and product quality. Ensuring a smooth and problem free operation, also participate in setting the overall marketing strategy and achieving the departmental profit budget.
General Tasks and Responsibilities:
Main Duties
Ensure the Long Term Operation team, work with a sales focused attitude and are aware of sales opportunities within the hotel which will assist with the maximization of revenue
Ensure all Front desk personnel are aware of all room revenue targets and are kept informed of performance results
Adhere to hotel selling strategy
Actively promote selling and up selling initiatives at the Front Desk
Ensure yourself or a senior manager handles all book outs in a diplomatic and professional way
Ensure a high level of communication is maintained between the Front Desk and all other areas of the hotel
Supervise day to day operations ensuring standards are adhered to and maintained
Ensure a consistently high standard of presentation is maintained for both the department and personnel
Actively solicit customer feedback
Ensure a high level of product knowledge of the hotel and local area.
Actively participate in customer driven events.
Focus team on hospitality and customer service.
Carry out interviews for all prospective Front Desk personnel to ensure they are customer focused.
Ensure regular communication meetings are held within all areas of the Front of House.
Other
Maintain Proper Cordination With Finance To Ensure Refunds And
Contracts Are Signed Within 3 Working Days.
Ensure The Long Term Records And Documents Are Filed And Scanned.
Ensure Cordintion With Corporates/Bookers For Extension With Lpo
Ensure All City Ledger Transfer Are Done On Time.
To Check Rate Codes/Rate Variances And Correct If Any Variations Exists.
Assits The Front Desk/Night Manager /Night Auditor In With Daily Shift Audits And Ensure
All Audits Are Correct.
Human Resources.
Ensure Job Skills training is followed for all new employees.
Conduct Annual and Bi Annual Appraisals with all team members as means of
motivation and development.
Communicate with the General Manager for key developments of the department
Actively develop team member s skills and performance through coaching and training.
Maintain accuracy of guest profiles.
Adhere to company credit policies to ensure all expected revenues are secured.
Review, maintain and implement systems and procedures as directed.
Ensure daily shift handovers are conducted in a professional and constructive manner
Regularly spot check duty shift checklists to ensure tasks completed.
Review daily reports to ensure system is being maintained as per company policies and procedures.
Spot check registration cards to ensure accuracy of data transfer.
Implement a full training plan within the Front Desk to develop all personnel to their full potential
Adhere to departmental operating expenses as laid out in the plan/forecast.
Compile departmental work schedules and manage departmental payroll in line with budgets.
Schedule annual leave during low demand periods to maximize payroll savings.
Review and analyze Executive floor expenses.
Monitor and control VIP amenities.
