Position Overview o Manages a portfolio of audit engagements.
o Builds and develops teams.
o Contributes to growth of the firm by involvement in various business development activities.
Main Responsibilities o Coordinates with the partner and in-charge planning decisions of the engagement.
o Prepares detailed budget and monitors on a regular basis to ensure that the financial targets are met.
o Communicates revised fee arrangements to clients.
o Conducts a kick-off meeting before each engagement to discuss budget, client expectations, self-expectations, engagement needs, etc.
o Assists the Partner in determining that the assigned resources to the audit team, including KPMG specialists, have the capabilities, competence and time to perform an effective audit.
o Obtains all necessary working paper documentation, including reports of KPMG specialists and representation letter(s) from the client.
o Resolves issues as they are identified by the auditor in charge and audit staff and discusses them with the engagement partner as appropriate.
o Participates in communications and reporting to client senior management.
o Participates with the engagement partner in the overall evaluation of the results of the audit.
o Leads a debrief meeting that includes audit team members and identifies areas for possible continued improvement in the next audit.
o Participates with the engagement partner in accepting/continuing an audit engagement (identifies and helps the Partner resolve any risk and independence/ethical issues, drafts the engagement letter terms).
o Ensures efficient WIP and debtors management.
o Identifies and develops, together with the Engagement Partner, additional professional services that may be required by the client.
o Maintains effective business relationships that build KPMG s brand and may result in winning new work.
o Is involved in business development programs (National Accounts, LOB/sectoral initiatives etc.).
o Monitors compliance with KPMG risk management policies and procedures within the Quality Performance Review Program (including inter initiation of conflict checks procedures, initiation of Sentinel approval process, collection of information required for client acceptance and engagement acceptance process completion).
o Participates with the Engagement Partner in the resolution of significant findings and issues, particularly matters requiring consultation and those raised by the engagement quality control reviewer and KPMG specialists, and communicates them to the audit team as appropriate.
o Performs selected risk assessment procedures, including making selected fraud inquiries and assisting the engagement partner in risk management inquiries.
o Participates in the risk assessment and planning discussion to determine effectiveness of the audit approach and strategy.
o Supervises and coaches the auditor in charge and provides guidance to other professional staff as required.
o Provides coaching and performs appraisals of the audit team members.
o Supports the HR function with special regards to recruitment.
o Gives feedback on a timely basis (informal and formal using Dialogue Engagement Review).
o Instructs formal trainings.

Experience Required o University degree (Finance, Accounting, Banking, Economics).
o Technical training required: Full Chartered Accountant qualifications (CPA, LACPA or equivalent), KAM Update, IFRS update.
o Two years of experience as Supervisor at KPMG or similar or similar experience at another BIG 4 company
