Manager, Student Engagement and Development Office

UOWD is currently seeking applications from enthusiastic, dedicated and self-motivated individuals to fill the position of Manager - Student Engagement and Development Office (SEDO).
The Manager Student Engagement and Development Office (SEDO) supports the instructional process of UOWD by planning, managing, organizing, coordinating and supervising programs and staff in the Student Engagement and Development Office.
In collaboration with Faculties, staff, Administration and students, the Manager develops and oversees the administration of valuable programs and services which complement the educational and life skill needs of students.
The Manager provides direction and oversight for the strategic goals and objectives of a unit or campus; including leading and directing staff without daily supervision; motivates a team of staff toward the unit or campus goals; manages budgets and responds to complex issues that could impact the overall functioning of the unit or campus.
The Department is responsible for student wellbeing, career services, student engagement through extra and co-curricular activities including events, sports and recreation, student clubs and activities, student services (transport and visa).

Qualifications:
Essential
• Relevant degree qualification or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and/or education/training
• Significant supervisory experience in a university environment.
• Knowledge of student wellbeing, careers and engagement
• Experience in working with persons of different cultures and religions
• Counselling and careers experience
• Event management experience
• Administrative and supervisory experience
• Budgeting/accounting experience
• Fluency in English
