The Marketing Manager, reporting to the BOD Business Development Director, leads short and long-term strategic marketing responsibilities within SAPCO Group. This role works closely with the Country Managers of each SBUs to develop and implement marketing strategies and plans to achieve business unit objectives and is responsible to manages all aspects of the planning, developing, managing, and delivering messaging materials for the business unit. This role drives the creation of business strategies by capturing market insight and translating into actionable, differentiated products and programs that support achievement of Business Unit objectives.
Manage all marketing support materials, concepts and campaigns for the Iraqi market, including POS, training manuals, and product directories across all channels professional, retail, and eCommerce.
Lead the review across all customer channels to measure ROI and analysis of marketing activities and promotions.
Oversee and drive SEO and SEM activities and strategies with our agency
Oversee and manage all social media outreach and analytics
Play a key role in making sure all launches, and brand building activities are successful from the start; making sure to maintain a focus across all marketing touchpoints including digital, print, PR, social media, and trade shows.
Provide management for the marketing processes and key marketing deliverables by establishing tactical plans that support SBUs business plans.
Provide marketing direction to field sales and other strategic channels (e.g. distribution channels), including execution of product plans.
Lead marketing efforts to understand segment / channel influencers including customer demographics, competitive assessments, and market needs.
Establish, build, and maintain key internal and external relationships.
Define and implement clear product positioning and messaging for business unit and its associated products.
Develop and implement product training and educational tools.
Keep up-to-date on new developments and trends to understand customer and market needs for assigned products.
Develop promotional programs.
Other Duties as Required.
Qualifications & Skill Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in Marketing or related business area
Minimum of 5 years of successful related marketing experience, preferably product marketing related, marketing agency experience would be an asset
Strong digital experience, particularly in SEO/SEM
Previous experience with product launch cycle is an asset
Previous experience with trade marketing is an asset
Demonstrated success working as an integral cross functional team member
Comprehensive understanding of the marketing and product planning process.
Strong cross-functional management skills with demonstrated ability to effectively utilize internal resources to meet project deadlines and objectives.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to listen and assess customer needs, prioritize needs/requirements, and communicate them cross-functionally.
Excellent leadership, presentation, and negotiation skills to work effectively in driving a business unit and participating as a member of cross functional teams.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with teams such as Engineering, Operations, Sales, and Corporate Communications.
Strong relationship building skills to constructively foster relationships internally and externally, including key opinion leaders.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
High level of motivation with the ability to operate as an individual and team contributor.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project).
Well knowledge of the Iraqi Market useful Marketing channels that will work in favor of the business revenue.
Occasional travel is required within IRAQ.
Ability to attend and conduct presentations.
Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
Extensive time and effort required especially for trade shows and events
