The Math SME is responsible for the development of creative, engaging, culturally relevant math curriculum for K-12 clients across the world. The primary focus of this role includes writing original content, editing pre-written work, and collaborating with various internal and external resources to support problem solving and remove bottlenecks in order to deliver high quality, timely content repositories.
Job Specific Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, implementation and evaluation of assigned content projects that meet internal quality standards in a timely manner.
Manage development of learning objects in digital form ensuring compliance to local and global standards, culture and curriculum frameworks
Write original content that fits with scope of projects needs including, but not limited to general instruction, assessments, activities, and video scripts
Review, edit, and communicate feedback regarding content provided from internal and third party resources
Manage deadlines and schedules with zero compromise on quality
Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of assigned content projects
Continuously look for ways to improve content systems, communicating innovative ideas and supporting the overall creativity of our content
Create content development plans considering costs, time constraints, resource allocation, review and approvals
Report and update content status to key stakeholders, identifying achievements, risks, and preventative measures taken/considered to maintain completion goals; escalate problems that need higher level support as needed
Adapt and enhance processes with reusability and automation of content creation processes in mind.
Maintain strong knowledge of e-learning practices, utilizing resources to continuously adapt and improve quality of content
Directs and builds effective relationships with a portfolio of vendors in order to maintain cost effective, agile, and predictable content production goals.
Communicates clear, detailed, well documented statements of work required by vendors.
Communicates timelines, scope of work, and quality standards with vendors, ensuring alignment of expectations for delivery of work.
Evaluates vendors providing regular content feedback in a manner that continuously steers improved quality and predictable results.
Provides vendor training, coaching, and redirection as needed to ensure consistent, predictable results in deliverables.
Provides regular vendor evaluation, feedback and supporting documentation regarding effectiveness of vendor performance; helps identify root causes contributing to achievements and/or risks.
Supports new vendor on-boarding and training as assigned
Regularly supports opportunities to collect, evaluate and respond to client feedback and needs in order to optimize quality of content repositories and drive academic efficacy.
Respond to school feedback and ticket requests timely and constructively.
Attend client related trainings, teacher meetings, and support Service Delivery Teams with subject expertise as requested.
Attend schools, visit with teachers and school administrators to gain feedback about content experiences in collaboration with Service Delivery Teams.
Collaborate with Service Delivery Teams to identify strengths, opportunities, and risks of existing content.

Education, Experience and Required Skills
Advanced degree related to Education (Instructional Design, Subject Specific Related Major, TESOL, etc) - PhD preferred
Processes & Practice
Certificate Teaching English as a Second Language an advantage
Knowledge of digital curriculum design practices required
Minimum 3 years teaching related to specific subjects for non-native English speakers
Minimum 1 year leading teachers in the development of content/curriculum strongly preferred
Experience producing digital curriculum documents
Experience teaching K-12 strongly preferred
Published work on subject matter and/or pedagogy strongly preferred
Knowledge of processes and standards for planning and implementing instructional design and development
Understanding of current emerging practices related to STEM and English as a Second Language a strong advantage
Experience producing e-content (portfolio of work) preferred
Previous experience implementing various Learning Management Systems preferred

Fluent English required
Arabic language an advantage
