Serves as the Multimedia Graphics Designer for the Visual Information Support Section. Responsible for providing digital prints and graphic designs in various media formats services for TSC.
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
Expertise with large format digital printing, color control, various vinyl applications, substrate knowledge
Run plotter, cut vinyl and apply to various substrates
Troubleshoot problems with software, computers, printing issues, plotter and laminating challenges
Logo manipulations, scanning, editing using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and all Microsoft Office Applications
Understand resolution and optimal enlargement sizes
Maintain shop floor and equipment including computers, printers, plotters, laminators, tools
Reports inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the VIS Supervisor
Determine style, technique, and medium best suited to produce desired effects and conform to reproduction requirements,
Performs quality assurance measures pre and post construction by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards
Ensures the completion of all job orders submitted by customers IAW TSC SOP.
Submits DA Form 3903 Visual Information Work Request data to Work Order Coordinator within 24 hours of completion.
Maintains positive control and accountability of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and contractor owned property assigned to TSC/VIS.
Plan and create Terrain Boards for training purposes
Ensures compliance with all ISO 9000 Quality Management Systems policies and procedures.
Knowledge of the principles of photography and practical knowledge of the production of photographic materials.
Maintain Share Drives for work order records and ensure personnel are following proper work order record maintenance.
Works on different projects simultaneously
Performs other related tasks as directed.
MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
Indoor and/or outdoor environment.
Standard work week will be six (6) days per week for up to eight (8) hours per day. May work 12-hour shifts as required.
May be required to work an uncommon schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
Must have professional appearance consistent with US military customs.
