Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate salary and benefit disbursements
- Lead regular and off-cycle payroll runs including final settlements
- Ensure compliance with all local, regional, and international payroll and tax regulations
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of statutory requirements and implement necessary payroll process changes
- Prepare and submit statutory reports to government authorities and ensure timely remittance
- Analyze payroll data to identify trends, discrepancies, and improvement opportunities
- Prepare payroll reports, monthly dashboards, and analytics for HR, Finance, and regulatory bodies
- Provide insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement
- Perform detailed reconciliation of payroll records with bank statements and accounting ledgers
- Verify inputs and outputs such as allowances, deductions, adjustments, and salary changes
- Investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions promptly
- Collaborate with IT and HR Systems to support system enhancements, automation, and data migration
- Update and maintain payroll SOPs, process maps, and related documentation
- Support process improvement initiatives to improve payroll accuracy and operational efficiency
- Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements
- Provide required documentation and clarifications during audit reviews
- Implement and monitor internal controls to ensure data integrity
- Serve as the escalation point for complex payroll queries
- Coordinate with HR, Finance, and business stakeholders to address payroll-related matters
- Provide coaching, guidance, and recognition to support team development
- Foster a collaborative and learning-oriented team environment

Strong experience managing payroll operations in a large organization
Good understanding of UAE and regional payroll, tax, and regulatory requirements
Experience working with HR systems, payroll platforms, and automation tools
Strong analytical and reconciliation abilities
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to investigate issues, manage escalations, and resolve complex cases
Experience supporting audits and maintaining internal controls
Ability to coach and support the development of payroll team members
High attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
