Position Overview:
The Pipeline Stress Engineer should be specialized in carrying out all calculations related with Pipelines, specifically stress analysis, and supporting the lead engineers in preparation of MRs, TQs, TBEs and supporting the designers for the support selection and marking of supports in all pipeline drawings for clients & EPC projects assuming entire responsibility for Conceptual, FEED and Detailed Design. Provide necessary technical information for procurement in compliance with all relevant specifications/data sheets and within budgeted man-hour and project schedules. Typically reporting to Pipelines Discipline Head.
Specific Responsibilities:
Ensure strict compliance with Company s ISO Quality procedures.
Interface and provide clarifications, guidance and technical support during construction phase of projects.
Education & Experience:
Preferred Education : BE ( Mechanical)
Candidates should be with 8+ years of experience in Consultancy Organization only

Familiar with all applicable International (ASME, ASTM, ANSI, API, ISO, MSS, AWWA, NACE, NFC, BS, UKOOA etc.) codes/standards, PDO, Shell standards etc.
Thorough knowledge of international codes and standards applicable to oil and gas pipeline systems, i.e. ASME, API Plus Shell DEP, PDO and other client standards will be added advantage.
Experience as a specialist stress engineer of pipeline using CAESAR-II or equivalent etc. Stress analysis of many CS, DSS & CRA clad buried, surface laid / aboveground pipelines. Review of stress analysis of thermosetting (FRP, GRE etc.) and thermoplastic (PVC, HDPE etc.) pipeline/piping systems and buckling and deflection calculations of HDPE pipe sleeves at road crossings performed by specialist vendors.
To be a specialist in other calculations like buoyancy, branch reinforcement, bend wall thinning wall thickness and other calculations of CS, HDPE and GRE pipelines, PE liner thickness calculations for external collapse pressure etc. Surge calculations of non-metallic pipelines as per AWWA and Shell standards, stresses on pipelines at road crossings as per API RP-1102 etc.
Candidates should be willing to work at site for re-routing of the existing Pipelines, and also routing of the new pipelines as required for the project.
