To effectively manage the plant and equipment maintenance workshop operations at the Fahud base to enable the business to utilise and take advantage of its in house plant through initiative plans and processes which minimize the cost of purchase and maintenance of plant equipment and vehicle through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital. Assure attainment of business objectives and maintenance schedule while insuring product standards that will meet the organization s policies and procedures and both internal and external customer expectations.
Ensure the workshop works to legal, company and client standards at all times including ISO90001, 14001 and 45001 standards
Managing the Workshop team with a focus on Health and Safety.
Managing adequate project resources as required such as vehicles, plant & equipment, machinery, service personnel and transport at the Company projects as per the requirements in line with the company Quality & HSE policies and procedures.
Help develop and improve systems and processes to aid the more effective running of the plant department.
Maintaining required and suitable records of maintenance and repairs including COSHH data.
Responsibility for the management of all the vehicles, plant & equipment with regards to repairs, maintenance, fitness and transportation activities.
Coordinating with other departments for plant & equipment and transport requirements to carry out the Project s activities.
Maintaining regular contacts with all the projects and provide the required support in timely manner.
Providing regular updates to Line Manager keeping him updated of all relevant departmental information including Health and Safety and Quality related matters.
Attend all required internal and external Meetings.
To set an exemplary standard of conduct in HSE matters at all times.

Education: Bachelor s degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Preferred auto mobile
Qualification: City & Guilds / NVQ level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
Minimum 10 years of experience and knowledge on workshop operations.
Minimum 5 year experience gained in the Middle East.
Previous HGV / plant & equipment technician and workshop experience
Experience of working in a management role ( Supervisor and above)
Language ability: Fluent in written & spoken English
Thorough knowledge of the tools, processes and technologies used in automotive, plant workshops.
Experience in both Mack and Kenworth Trucks
The ability to lead, motivate and develop a team of technicians
In depth mechanical knowledge
Create a suitable succession plan
Be a good planner to set guidelines and objectives
Be good in empowering people
Awareness of company Quality and HSE policies and procedures
Medical Fitness: Physically Fit to work in the desert location
