Procurement and logistics Specialist

•Provide support to the Procurement and Logistics Manager in the implementation of agreed strategies to deliver cost efficient acquisition for multiple groups of commodities and services.

•Assist in sourcing, pre‐qualifying and evaluating suppliers and advising on the most appropriate commodities and services to meet required specifications.

•Expedite purchase orders on a routine basis and follow‐up with suppliers on inaccuracies or delays of shipments.

•Ensure that suppliers adhere to specific shipping instructions and regulations and arrange for customs clearance of materials.

•Complete administrative duties as appropriate and necessary for a smooth operational implementation and work flow.

•Prepare bid lists, solicit and negotiate quotations from qualified suppliers and prepare purchase orders as per pro‐forma invoice and other simplified acquisitions documentation.

•Maintain and update vendor/supplier’s records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices.

•Support new and existing supplier accounts to foster business development.

•Provide prompt, courteous and knowledgeable service to all internal and external customers/suppliers.

•Carry out international and regional purchasing activities in line with established procurement policies and procedure.

•Send requests for quotations and evaluate price for approvals.

•Analyse quotations received for materials and services to ensure compliance with actual requirements

•Monitor stock demands and identify purchase needs.

•Prepare and submit monthly reports to the Procurement and logistics manager on movement tracking.

•Support and assist the team to create teamwork and the department efficiency.
