Academic Coordination
• In close collaboration with the Arabic Coordinator, the Program Manager, and the Director for Education Abroad, assists in the development of syllabi according to U.S. university standards for Arabic courses for various short- ومنذ فترة طويلة-term programs, ensuring continuity across all syllabi.
• Helps Arabic coordinator schedule and plan meetings for the Arabic teachers and interns on a weekly basis
• Assists the Arabic Coordinator in the logistical organization of on-going professional development trainings for teachers as led by the regional Arabic language advisor, other international staff, or local organizations
• Organizes the logistics for on-site Oral Proficiency Interview OPI-style assessments at the beginning and end of each program for all students
• Assists the Arabic Coordinator in the development and implementation of the online pre-arrival written Arabic assessment for students, creating tables of student levels for Program Officer, منسق برامج أقدم, and Program Manager. Sharing this information with Program Coordinator for homestay placement purposes, and roommate matching.
• Arrives daily prior to the start of the first Arabic language course or other courses, whichever is the first of the day
• Assists the Arabic coordinator in collecting from teachers all midterm assessments of Semester Abroad Program students, a comprehensive final during finals week, and final grades within one week of the final exam

• Assist in the recruitment and training of new language partners in close collaboration with the Program Officer, design language partner activities for a variety of programs, including training the Moroccan language partners to effectively support Arabic learners and incorporating language partners into assignments
• Ensure proper documentation of all language partners, personnel information and contact information, as well as LP contracts signed with students
• Assist the Program Officer and Program Coordinators to ensure excursions provide opportunities for applied use of the language
• Assists the Senior Program Coordinator in writing monthly and quarterly reports, حسب الاقتضاء
• تعد, in collaboration with the Senior Program Coordinator, the Arabic coordinator and Arabic teachers teaching the course, the weekly schedule outlining each week s instructional activities for customized programs
• Collects and organize grades from all teachers at the mid-term and the end of each program, submit to Program Manager for final assessment
• Leads and organizes the management of the University Program Library and the High School Library, adding new acquisitions to the database, managing student book borrowing, maintaining an updated library catalogue and running regular checks on all library content, and following up with student library check out, including overdue library materials
• Accompanies students on excursions on a rotating basis with other staff, on a schedule determined by team consensus and the Education Abroad Program Manager, أداره اللوجستيات, dealing with student emergencies/القضايا, and being the first point of contact for first aid needs
• Takes rotations on the emergency response team which provides 24/7 assistance to students along with other staff members; participate in staff emergency phone rotation response
• Ensures student incident reports for any and all programs are documented in a timely manner using Terra Dotta and track follow-up needed, immediately communicating all serious issues that arise to the Program Manager and other relevant staff
• Assists with student healthcare support when Program Officer is unavailable, especially in emergencies: making appointments with doctors, accompanying students, following up with medical labs and purchasing prescription medications

• Assist Program Coordinator collection of health, سلامة, and security information related to Clery Act requirements and excursion forms
• Creates class rosters, grade sheets and assist teachers in organized managements of these documents
• Supervises organization and cleanliness in the student lounge, and closes it when departs AMIDEAST
• Collects timesheets from all teachers at the end of each program, create RFPs for Program Manager approval
• Assists the PM and Program Coordinator with all assuring compliance with program guidelines, توثيق, والتقارير
• Updates timesheet on a daily basis
• Ensure proper documentation is maintained for all Arabic teachers and faculty, new and former, including personnel records, معلومات الاتصال, history of classes taught, previous student and staff evaluations of teachers performance, previous pay rates, إلخ. - with the support of the Arabic Coordinator and the Academic Coordinator
• Keep records of signed teacher, المتدرب, and faculty contracts, and coordinate with the Arabic Coordinator, the HR specialist, and the Program Manager to ensure teachers receive a copy of this contract
• Collaborates closely with the Program Manager and Program Coordinator to liaise with the AMIDEAST/Morocco Finance department for timely purchasing requisitions, payments for professors, المحاضرين, and other program expenses, and ensuring correct coding of expenses, especially for non-متوسط-البرامج المدرسية
• Takes the lead in assisting teachers in preparing classrooms, arranging for guest speakers and field trips
• Assists in the development of social media marketing materials for programs in coordination with the social media manager in Morocco and AMIDEAST HQ staff
• Takes the lead in helping faculty with getting course materials posted to LMS, course packs, or other clerical duties such as photocopying.
• Attends and participates in mandatory Education Abroad weekly staff meetings and weekly HQ-Morocco Meetings
• General clerical and administrative duties relevant to the Education Abroad team, as assigned by the Program Manager or Country Director
المؤهلات المطلوبة
• Bachelor s degree Middle East North African studies, French area studies, تعليم, intercultural communication, علاقات دولية, أو مجال ذو صلة. Academic specialization in North Africa and extensive practical experience in Morocco preferred
• Advanced written and oral language skills in Arabic, والانكليزيه. Advanced or fluent Darija & French preferred
• Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in handling on-program support and sensitive information
• Strong interpersonal and intercultural communication skills ?
• Demonstrated skills in general financial accountability
• Knowledge of U.S. culture, U.S. academic institutions and culture, particularly regarding Arabic pedagogy
