1) Coordinate with planning/stores/production team to get necessary requisition for stock/non-stock/service items
2) Able to understand the material specification and send enquirers to different suppliers in order to obtain competitive pricing/delivery/payment terms.
3) Prepare price comparison statement by compiling the prices obtained from different suppliers
4) Secure approval from the department head to finalize the supplier and process the purchase order
5) Process purchase orders which includes pricing update on ERP & get the necessary approval from internal audit
6) Purchase order register needs to be updated on daily basis
7) Co-ordinate with suppliers on regular basis to ensure that the material are delivered in time and keep the planning team updated with the delivery schedule
8) Ensure that all types of GRN's received from stores/QC are properly checked and forwarded to accounts department for further processing
9) Perform other job related duties as assigned by department head
