Responsibilities :
Ensure regional credit
offices operate effectively, follow common policies & procedures, and use
assigned resources in an efficient manner.
Plan activities, set
direction and identify workload priorities for leadership and support of team
members
Coach and develop credit
team within the region ( and provide ongoing evaluation) to ensure employees
realize their highest potential.
Maintain strong working
relationship with Sales Management and their teams, as well as our Key customer
accounts across the full business & region conducting and assisting with
customer, country and location visits.
Support monthly Credit/AR
review meetings with local Sales teams to effectively identify actions to
manage collection concerns, dispute management and implement risk mitigation
strategies, alongside opportunities for revenue pipeline.
Manage Trade Finance
activities in compliance with UCP 600 for Documentary Credits governed by the
ICC.
Review and manage customer
credit lines and review date, based on financial and non-financial evaluation
and making recommendations to senior management for credit lines exceeding
authority level
Monitor Country portfolio
for trends & report market / risk warning signs accordingly
Produce & analyse daily,
weekly and monthly credit reporting to monitor performance and identify issues.
Prepare, review and record
audit schedules to ensure compliance with internal audit and SOX controls
Exercise sound judgement
and discretion in handling processes including making decision that will have
impact on internal & external customers
Abide by Company Policies
and Procedures in accordance with Anixter s Blue Book, Ethics and principles at
all times.
Manage third party relationships
with Legal agencies, Banks and Credit reference bureau, including local
negotiation and budgetary control
Qualification/Skills Required:
Minimum of 5-10 years of related Credit Management leadership experience required.
• Degree in business or related field
• Credit Management qualification
( CICM or equivalent) desirable
• Excellent communication,
interpersonal and leadership skills
• Strong analytical and
problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written
communication skills fluency in English essential
• Effective coaching & mentoring
capability and ability to influence at all levels
Computer skills including
Windows business application software ( Excel, Access, Power Point)
Previous use of Oracle
desirable
• Ability and willingness to travel
