MAIN PURPOSE
Reporting to the Regional Learning & Development Director, the Regional Learning & Development Manager- People & Programme s role is key to ensuring that learning and development activities advance employee capabilities and confidence at all levels enabling the business to drive forward and be the employer of choice. As a true business partner, you design learning programmes consistent with the business strategies. Key areas of focus are behavioural, sales, technical and leadership skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
LEARNING DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT
• Support the Regional L&D Director to deliver the global and regional Learning and Development strategy
• Carry out and support capability and learning needs assessments (LNA) across the region, markets and business functions to identify key skills gaps, competencies and development opportunities
• Design, develop and deliver blended learning solutions to meet the learning needs of the organisation and individual needs, using instructional design methodologies such as the ADDIE model
• Use digital tools and platforms to create flexible and innovative learning programmes using creativity and curiosity for the future of L&D
• Apply adult learning theories and instructional design models to ensure employees get the best out of their development. Understand different learning styles designed towards new generations and align to learning journeys accordingly
• Design and development a diverse range of learning interventions, including technical, behavioural and leadership development programmes
• Support the international learning team by providing input to global programmes design and deploy international training programmes, adapting to local market needs where necessary
• Deliver collaborative and experiential workshops to improve the overall client experience and develop individual s knowledge, skills and behaviours
LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT FUNCTION
• Support the L&D department to be a true business partner supporting the development of people, individual and team development
• Demonstrate the value of the learning by providing return on investment analysis and monthly reporting, demonstrating the impact of learning using effective evaluation models such as Kirkpatrick Levels 1-4
• Regional management of the wider training plan, reporting on planned vs deliverables on a monthly basis taking into account budget management
• Create a learning culture by engaging the learner, manager and coach using models such as the 70-20-10 methodology and coaching practices
• Attend regular meetings with the Learning & Development team, as well as attending ExCo meetings where necessary on behalf of the wider L&D team
ORGANISATION AND PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT
• Support the L&D Director in evaluating organisational development needs and design effective and innovative learning solutions which supports the commercial aspects of the business, HR, Marketing and I.T. strategies
• Provide support and guidance to managers to develop team members by implementing individual development plans (IDPs) and align to the annual training plan and calendar, ensuring that budgets are managed to meet the needs of learners and organisation
• Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including working closely with HR and external consultants
• Monitor how effectively learning has been transferred to the job by working closely with market L&D teams and coaches, measuring the impact on the overall organisation such as client experience, targets, strategic focus and employee engagement surveys
BUDGET MANAGEMENT
• Support the L&D Director in managing budgets and negotiating contracts with external training providers.
• Administration of invoicing and tracking travel and expenditure costs relating to regional learning interventions.
• Monthly budget reporting to the regional L&D Director.
JOB PROFILE
Education:
• Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD) Level 5 in Learning & Development preferred or willing to work towards
• Qualified to bachelor s degree level or equivalent, business, management and psychology qualifications will be advantageous
• Coaching qualification or certificate preferred, such as ICA
• Psychometric testing accreditations such as Myers Briggs, Emotional Intelligence
Required Experience:
• 5 years of experience in a Learning & Development role within a matrix organisation, preferably within the luxury industry
Technical Skills and Competencies:
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office, Learning Management Systems (LMS) and platforms
• E-learning design would be advantageous, such as SCORM, Adobe, Articulate
• Full proficiency in English (spoken and written), Arabic is a plus
• Confident in both written and spoken communication with the ability to present
