Urgently looking for a Safety Manager for Pipelines, who will promote a continuous and sustained improvement within field operations compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements along with all associated company safety and technical policies and procedures.
Bachelor’s degree preferably in an engineering discipline (or a related technical discipline) or equivalent 15+ years’ experience
Must possess a minimum of five years field experience in Gas Construction and Maintain, and/or Electric T&D, Damage Prevention and/or Gas and Electric Customer Metering Services, Gas Instrumentation and Regulation, and/or Pipeline Safety & Regulatory Compliance
Strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to develop, maintain and manage relationships at all levels within the Company
Strong knowledge of work and safety rules, work methods, standard operating procedures and regulations is required
Excellent in oral and written communication skills are a must, as are excellent observation and documentation abilities and a high degree of personal integrity. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, confident, efficient, decisive and committed to a strong and consistent quality assurance program
Working knowledge of personal computer applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.)
Specialized quality-related certification in Six Sigma and Tap Root methodologies for project analysis and incident investigation analysis is recognized.
Cross-regional travel for the performance of departmental duties is required
