Manages and provides civil and electro-mechanical maintenance service for the School buildings, in order to
maintain them in satisfactory conditions and within budgeted resources.
Ensures contractors’ compliance to agreed upon services.
Ensure that all buildings are kept in a properly maintained condition in order to enable optimum utilization of
Assist in managing all related construction of work projects, fitting out, interior decoration, renovation and
maintenance to achieve high technical quality and effective cost control on all such projects
The duties and responsibilities of the Facilities and Services Senior admin, as assigned by the Head of Facilitates and
Services, may include but are not limited to the following:
Receive and evaluate school management complaints and / or request for property maintenance to determine
whether the request is genuine, whether maintenance is required to maintain the property in the appropriate
Authorize the performance of necessary maintenance work by the Campus Director.
Check and evaluate completed maintenance work to determine whether it has been completed satisfactorily prior to
Prepare reports on site visit for properties under construction in order to assess the condition of the property and
Check maintenance invoice details submitted by the contractor or supplier to the School, which include details of
materials used and prices charged to confirm accuracy and to ensure that the School is appropriately charged for
Carry out and report on evaluation of buildings for insurance purpose in order to ensure that buildings are fully
To assist in developing School owned plots and prepare design brief, cost estimate and design competition and
management of the construction project to achieve optimum utilization of School’s premises and plots in cost
Provide required technical assistant and advise relate to the construction of new buildings and renovation of existing
To assist in fitting out and alteration to premises from preparing tender analysis, awarding contract, implementing
and supervising the related work to ensure adherence with School’s quality standards.
To assist in preparing annual maintenance budget for all premises and buildings to ensure cost effective operation.
Assists Administration Manager in establishing maintenance policies and procedures for maintaining the School
owned residential and commercial property, and ensures its proper implementation.
Responds to inquiries from employees and contractors regarding inspection problems.
Supervise, train, motivate, and discipline the maintenance staff.
Manages the day-to-day maintenance functions performed by the Section and outside contractors to ensure that
the maintenance and repair work is correctly performed, distributed evenly and flows smoothly.
Mitigates the need for after-hours emergency service through preventative maintenance performed during normal
Recommends in a cost effective and efficient manner the purchase of supplies, materials and services as required
for the operation of the maintenance and repair program, and prepare all School commercial and residential units’
maintenance and repair purchase requests.
Maintains control over maintenance tools, equipment, suppliers and repair parts, to insure that School-owned tools
and equipment are on hand when needed and accounted for.
Supervises the reception and inspection of all purchased items and services.
Maintains maintenance supplies and repair parts inventory control to insure adequate and appropriate supplies are
on hand when needed and accounted for.
Manages maintenance operations within the approved budget, anticipates variances and alerts the Administration
Manager to potential problems in advance, and overall maintenance cost control.
Monitors compliance with local maintenance regulations and standards.
Performs other duties as instructed by the Head of facilities, support services & campus director.
A minimum of two years in supervisory experience in similar field.
Working knowledge of basic carpentry and drywall repair, minor electrical and plumbing repair, painting, and cleaning
techniques, basic appliance repair, equipment repair, landscaping, and general maintenance. Moderate knowledge of
computer software applications relevant to his work.
