Job Specific Accountabilities



Business / Performance Analysis, Controlling & Reporting



§ Able to manage reporting activities and implementation of key business analysis processes.

§ Able to identify underlying trends through the analysis of data and communicate issues to senior management.

§ Able to network proactively across the organization to identify factors affecting the business and reporting tools, as well as to conduct non-typical data gathering and identify process synergies.


Benchmarking & Business Modelling



§ Detailed understanding of Company’s processes/ business.

§ Able to identify problem areas in Company’s processes and business which require improvement.

§ Able to perform financial analysis and compare the results in an effort to assess overall competitiveness and productivity of the business.

Generic Accountabilities



Operational Plans

· Develop consistent and realistic long- and short-term operational plans for the Business Segments in line with the Business Segments objectives and manage the implementation of the approved long- and short-term plans and ensure they are effectively converted into its performance objectives to realize the Business Segment Objectives and established service levels.

Budgets and Operational Plans

· Develop and manage the Business Segment annual budget in line with their business objectives and operational plans ensuring that adequate funding provision is made for all Department activities therein.

· Monitor expenditure against approved Department budget within the Business Segments on a regular basis; investigate, highlight and reconcile any significant variances to ensure effective performance and cost control.

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

· Develop and implement appropriate policies, processes, systems, standards, procedures and internal controls, Company guidelines in order to support execution of the Business Segment’s work programs in line with Company and International standards.

Performance Management

· Contribute to the development of the KPI’s and ensure proper cascade of the Performance objectives within the Department and establish monitoring mechanisms to ensure delivery of these objectives and promote a performance driven culture.

· Manage the implementation of the Performance Management System for individuals within the Department in accordance with Company approved guidelines.

People Development

· Develop knowledge, competencies and innovative spirit in the Department and support the establishment of Personal Development Plans (PDP’s), Succession Planning and Talent pipeline within the Department in coordination with the Human Capital to continuously develop employees with emphasis on UAE Nationals to meet Emiratization targets.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification

· Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Economics or any relevant discipline.

Minimum Experience, knowledge & skills

· 10 years of relevant experience in finance including at least 5 years in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities.

· Experience preferably in logistics, marine services, shipping or related industry is preferred.

Professional Certifications

· Chartered Accountants (ACA / ACCA / CPA)

· Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)

· MBA / CFA Certifications
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
· ERP - SAP Skills

· Understanding of IFRS and relevant GAAPS

· Advanced Financial Modeling Skills

· Presentation skills

· Good analytical skills
