PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Deliver on site Process Safety initiatives in support of site operations, maintenance and engineering, to help improve Process Safety performance. Measure and monitor process safety elements and ensure compliance to COMPANY code of practice and OSHA's guidelines related to Process safety management (PSM).
Job Scope includes observation, monitoring, and reviewing process operations, evaluate deviations, propose and implement process safety initiatives to prevent and mitigate loss of primary containment.
•Monitors the plant loss control program such as Process Safety accident prevention, hazard analysis, and training and inspection programs.
•Analyses process safety near misses, incidents, accidents and recommends actions required to update the program to minimize recurrence of accidents. Follow up the status of the actions and recommendations. Maintains records of process safety incidents and prepares management reporting.
•Reviews all plant process operations, identifies process safety deviations and proposes for necessary corrective action. Proactive monitoring of process safety related equipment, process safeguarding, and control logic to identify deviations and address for remedial actions
•Participates in studies of new projects and plant modifications. Reviews specifications of equipment and materials on site to ensure process safety requirements are included.
•Implements process safety audit program. Conducts process safety audits to verify compliance to process safety standards and follows up on corrective actions.
•Participates to review process hazards in plant modifications, in development of the Five-year Process Safety Risk Engineering Plan, including quantitative and qualitative risk engineering.
•Conducts a comprehensive process safety training program, and schedules their implementation. Organise Training of Process Safety Incident, PSSR, PHA, and Hazard Identifications.
•Compiles the monthly reports meeting the requirements of COMPANY process safety annual reporting data and quarterly issue highlights and presents Manager with detailed analyses and suggestions.
•Prepare and disseminate Process safety information knowledge to all employees to enhance awareness.
•Prepare, maintain and manage Database for process safety events related to COMPANY reporting requirements.
•Contribute to the development of plant process safety programs and ensures the availability of process safety manuals, hazardous area instructions, process safety publications and posters, etc.
•Monitors and reviews daily the status of management of process trip logic deviations, inhibitions to evaluate their impact and advises for corrective actions where required.
