Position: Senior Underwater Single and Multi Robot Systems Researcher
Job Description
• Development of algorithms for control of single robot and multi robot systems in Underwater environment, from design to test to demonstration in real environment
• Design, analyze, develop, test, and integrate control and navigation software systems for unmanned vehicles.
• Collaborate with underwater team to evaluate dependencies in order to define and drive features and system requirements
• Write efficient and easy to read code
Skills required for the job
• Experience with control analysis and development of underwater robots
• Experience with control of underwater multi-robot systems
• Experience with navigation, motion planning and station keeping of underwater robots
• Hands-on experience with software development and testing
• Knowledge on state of art of literature and ability to assess
• Publications record in top conferences/journals in Robotics: ICRA, IROS, IJRR, RSJ, T-RO
• High coding skills: python, C++, ROS
• Experience with robotic simulators such as Gazebo, Webots
• Standard agile tools: Microsoft Teams, Slack, Dropbox
• With little supervision, he/she works creatively and independently to establish objectives, meet deadlines, and complete difficult engineering assignments
• May supervise one or more Engineering Assistants and/or Engineers.
• Must be a strong team player with succeeding as a team mentality
• Excellent communication (clear and effectively) and stakeholder engagement skills
