You will provide oversight of the construction supervision of the projects to ensure that the design documentation is safely and accurately implemented on site, and that the requirements of the construction contract are followed. You will be responsible for the management and direction of a team of Engineers for the construction supervision projects and provide technical and contractual advice for all the projects, as well as resource management. You will have autonomy for the overall project delivery and client liaison whilst strengthening a trusted relationship with the management team, the client's counterpart staff and appropriate working relationship with the contractors. You must monitor the progress of construction against the programme and takes steps to ensure the programme is achieved, ensuring that the project quality control procedures are used for the Constructions supervision works and monitors it for improvement.
As an effective candidate you will have a degree in Structural Engineering from an internationally recognized and accredited university, with experience on major infrastructure projects that are complex in nature. You will understand the aspects of site supervision and construction management of Rail projects (structures such as bridges and viaducts) and be enthusiastic about improving the safety performance of site operations. You must be able to communicate effectively with site teams and motivate them to meet the project goals with good guidance skills and be able to work in a multi-cultural and multi-discipline team. It’s important that you have excellent communication and report writing skills, and good presentation skills in English.
