As Sous Chef, the successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient running of Majlis, the Hotel''s Arabic Cuisine restaurant in line with Hyatt International''s Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations.

This person enjoys the challenge of creating new dishes, paying extra attention to detail, and maintaining the highest standards of the products quality and consistency. In addition, we are seeking someone who is highly creative and enjoys interacting with internal and external guests.
Reporting to the Executive Sous Chef, the Sous Chef for Majlis is responsible for managing their assigned kitchen operation as a successful independent profit center, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction consistent with Grand Hyatt Doha and Hyatt International standards, through planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the Kitchen operation and administration.
• Passion for culinary and specifically Arabic or Turkish cuisine - you have a minimum of 2 years'' work experience as Sous Chef or 3-4 years as Chef de Partie in a hotel or large restaurant
• Enjoy working with, and leading, a team - you have good interpersonal skills and gain satisfaction from teaching others and enhancing the overall experience within the team
• Work clean and efficiently - you have good knowledge of HACCP and understand the importance of a clean kitchen for hygiene and better efficiency
• Recipe costing and computer skillset - knowledge in Microsoft Office, Outlook and a Recipe Maintenance system is required
