The Head of Interior Designerwill be the lead designer, oversees all the designphases from initial client meetings, as-built drawings, permitting, and materials selectionsto ensure each project meets established deadlines and financial guidelines from project stage through the completion. They conduct market research and facilitate design review and build planning meetings. They approve design specifications and develop purchase justifications for materials where necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the design for a variety of projects. Assign and monitor completion of tasks.Manages a team of interior designers of different experiences and backgrounds on a project scope and participate during all phases of project delivery.
Is responsible for all aspects of planning, budgeting, and execution for interior design projects in theorganization.
Contribute to the practice s library of resources, materials and references in all fields of Interior Design.
Meets with clients to program the project requirements. Takes accurate as-built measurements for developing floor plans and elevations.
Create design concepts and digital presentations with finish selections, furnishings, and fixtures.
Prepare and review proposals, contracts, and consultant agreements.
Participate in the coordination and document preparation for projects and provide quality assurance via review internal project documentationand process draft project billing.
Maintain and update the sustainable design materials library on-site.
Research and attend trade shows and other continuing education opportunities.
