JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Procurement Management
• Interfacing with cross functional departments for budgeting and planning the funds for procurement and sourcing of materials for ensuring optimum utilization of materials; securing maximum cost savings
• Developing and implementing key strategies for the procurement of materials from sources; achieving cost reduction in procurement and packaging
• Participating in the development of specifications for equipment, products or substitute materials; developing, implementing purchasing and contract management instructions, policies and procedures
• Carrying out order planning, price negotiations and coordinating with suppliers
• Identify new suppliers, agree terms and negotiate supply agreements where appropriate, including discount structures and volume rebates
• Continually improve purchasing methods as per IMS and drive down external spends
• To carry out a comprehensive review of the Purchasing function and its methodology and identify and implement improvements
• Production Efficiencies
• Full involvement specifically with technical and production department on the evaluation of new and existing materials and their successful integration to the production end of the business. This will include identifying current and future trends in the global market place
• Procurement of CAPEX & sourcing of new machine suppliers for new product development
• Devising efficient logistics management system to ensure delivery of the goods/shipments as per committed timelines and cost
• Preparing MIS reports of inward/outward logistics and apprising top management and users of routine inventory management activities; assisting in framing of costing & proposal for logistic solution
• Developing long-term partnerships with suppliers; managing day-to-day supplier performance to ensure meeting of service, cost, delivery and quality norms; coordinating with suppliers for new product development and implementation
