Completes store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
Maintains store staff job results by coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
Identifies current and future customer requirements by conducting a basic study about the market, competitors and customers in the area and suggest marketing plans, promotions for the branch.
Handle all operation issues in the store in coordination with retail operation team.
Responsible for proper day closure and ensure adherence to opening and closing checklist by the assigned person.
Review incident reports and take actions or find solutions based on the priority of the incidents.
Responsible for ensuring effective visual merchandising inside the store, he is also responsible to create a display planogram for the store.
Ensure timely shelving and display cleaning is happening.
Manage shifts, manpower allocation and ensure proper utilization of the manpower at each section.
Coordinate promotions in the branch in coordination with sections and corporate purchase and retail operations.
Responsible to manage assets in the stock (trolley, baskets, IT infrastructure etc)
Approve and monitor special situations like night shift operations and night stock taking in coordination with various teams.
Responsible to ensure statutory compliance of the store and store staff in coordination with corporate departments.
Handle all situations like shoplifting and other emergency situations.
Ensure all the departments and staff, are working according to the company defined processes, procedures and responsibilities. Reduce the risks like shoplifting, store break-ins, stock damage, shrinkage etc.
Responsible for doing day briefing and coordinate periodical staff training.
Review the performance of the staff and ensure the effective utilization of the staff skills and potentials.
Ensure proper dress code, Hygiene and Grooming, punctuality and job execution.
Analyse proper purchase management in the store.
Do proper ageing analysis of the store and advise on purchase requirement.
Conduct daily, weekly and monthly stock analysis of the categories, SKUs and take decisions on stock levels, category ratio, promotions etc for effective utilization of the shop floor to get optimum sales.
Approve stock transfers on request
Prepare the sales targets and business plan coordinating with the management.
Take necessary steps in achieving the targets.
Timely monitoring of sales trends and take action from time to time.
Analyse all customer feedbacks and take effective actions for solving customer complaints.
Identify the customer needs and implement methods to fulfil the same.
Maintain day to day records.
Develop daily, weekly and monthly reports and do timely management reporting.
