We are looking for candidates with experience in English to Arabic translation and vice versa, in particular translation of business-related presentations, documents, proposals and texts with topics such as accounting, advisory, management consulting, risk consulting, market studies, business strategy, internal audit, financial services, forensic, information technology etc.
Candidate must monitor the translation team utilization and must be responsible for prioritizing tasks based on deadline and business importance.
Candidate must manage the translation team performance and address training requirements.
Candidate must ensure that the translation team is submitting precise, complete and on-time quality translation services to the Advisory Department while preserving the original meaning and context of the material.
Candidate must be pragmatic, high-energy professionals who have the personal and professional self-confidence to work under pressure.
Candidate must also have the ability to make translations directly in MS PowerPoint and Word documents. Ideally, this experience has been gained in a business/professional services firm.
Candidate must be able to perform successfully and produce accurate results in a fast-paced, intellectually intense, client-oriented environment.
Candidate must work remotely from KPMG Lebanon office to manage the in-house translation business support team and address / review the translation requests raised by the advisory team in KSA, Amman and Lebanon.
Translate business documents clearly and accurately with the highest quality.
Produce translations of a variety of documents from English to Arabic and Arabic to English within tight deadlines.
Attend meetings with business team when necessary to discuss translation projects and understand requirements.
Manage, review and follow up with the translation team to ensure quality and efficiency.
Qualifications and Experience
12-15 years of bilingual translation experience within a professional services firm/fast turnaround environment would be advantageous.
Excellent Arabic and English translation, editing and communication skills, both written and verbal, Understanding of Grammar
Working knowledge of business language and thinking in English and Arabic
It is an advantage to have a knowledge of and/or interest in specialist areas such as advisory, risk consulting, management consulting, forensic, information technology, actuarial, corporate finance, internal audit, banking and financial services.
Competent IT user with excellent word processing skills and the capacity to master computer-assisted translation.
