As Waiter - Terrace on the Corniche your primary responsibilities will be:
•Deliver food from kitchen to the guest ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
•Assist in clearing, cleaning and set-up of tables, chairs, linens, china, glass and silver for service in an unobtrusive manner; greet guests according to the St. Regis Standards to ensure superior service.
•Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
•Assist in stocking linens, china, glass, silver, and food items for service
•Assist in the breakdown, cleaning and set-up of buffets and food stations.
•Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
•Greet and escort guests to their tables
•Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)
•Adhere to timing standards for products and services
•Inform guests about the day s specials
•Offer menu recommendations upon request.
•Make suggestions based on their preferences.
•Up-sell additional products when appropriate
•Take accurate food and drinks orders, using a POS ordering software
•Check customers IDs to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
•Communicate order details to the kitchen
•Serve food and drink orders. Ensure hot food is hot and cold food is cold
•Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems
